As a mentor, you will be connecting with those looking for support, guidance, and advice while sharing experiences through your partnership. Every Mentor has a unique skillset and knowledge that they can share. Mentees are looking for a variety of perspective and guidance, so you only need to have a desire to give back and support other women! Speed Mentoring is held monthly, on a virtual platform. Mentors engage in brief conversation with several different Mentees in a series of rounds. These events are intentionally not topic-based so the discussion will center around broad, foundational advice (i.e. interview prep, starting a career, networking, etc). Great! The Membership team has events set on the calendar throughout the year, but is always open to new ideas. Please email us! We’re sorry to hear that, we want everyone’s time to be valued in our mentorship programs, so we can understand the disappointment. Sometimes emails can get lost or missed, so please reach out to us with details about your partnership and communication. We will work to resolve it on our end, or match you with someone new. We understand that there are times where Mentors and Mentees are a mismatch. Sometimes it takes a meeting or two to find a groove and align on where to take the sessions. If you’ve tried a couple of interactions and you truly feel like you’d be better matched with someone else, please let us know. Absolutely! We only ask that you consider bandwidth as you are making commitments. We welcome and are appreciative of ‘repeat’ Mentors! Yes, please email us! Mentee FAQFrequently asked questions about the Mentee program. We have quarterly 1:1 cohorts that are limited capacity based on Mentor availability. Please refer to this page to see if Mentee enrollment is currently open or closed. If closed, please check back for the next cohort (we send out information in our weekly newsletter and on the Membership platform!) Please note: cohorts fill up quickly, and we cannot accept more Mentees than we have Mentors to support. If you missed a window, don't worry - another will open in three months with priority placed on Mentees who haven't participated in 1:1 mentorship yet. In the meantime, please explore other options within the mentorship benefit like Speed Mentoring, Circles, and Groups! Speed Mentoring and Circles are both monthly events, and are limited capacity. Once registration is open, it’s first come, first serve, so check back often and sign up! We understand that there are times where Mentors and Mentees are a mismatch. Sometimes it takes a meeting or two to find a groove and align on where to take the sessions. If you’ve tried a couple of interactions and you truly feel like you’d be better matched with someone else, please let us know. Definitely! In fact, we encourage our Mentees to enroll as Mentors! Feel free to ‘try out’ mentoring at a Speed Mentoring event, where the conversations are shorter and you have the opportunity to talk to many different people. While you may be added to future cohorts, we do place priority on Mentees who haven't experienced 1:1 mentorship yet. We’d suggest trying the Mentor role to give back to others in the community, or participating in one of our other mentorship programs - Speed Mentoring, Circles, or Groups. While we try to utilize commonality in our criteria while matching 1:1 partnerships, we can’t guarantee you’ll be matched with someone with a specific skillset or role. Groups are focused on topic-led mentoring, so you may want to explore that program to better fit this need. Yes, please email us! |
