Speaker Bios:

Bo Young Lee, President, AnitaB.org Advisory

Bo Young Lee is a globally recognized human capital, DEI, and ESG executive, and widely sought-after public speaker, currently serving as President of Advisory at AnitaB.org. Most recently, Bo served as Uber Technologies’ first Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer where she was tasked to lead the total transformation of the company’s culture, values, and environment of equity. Bo joined Uber in 2018 amidst an unprecedented internal and public DEI crisis and led the company to become a leader in the field. The number of underrepresented POC in leadership nearly tripled and the number of women in leadership doubled during Bo’s tenure at Uber.

Bo has helped hundreds of companies around the world during her 23 years of DEI work. Prior to joining Uber, Bo was the first Global Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Risk and Insurance Services businesses of Marsh McLennan. She also launched and led Aon Hewitt’s Global Emerging Workforce Solutions practice, the first DEI consultancy launched by a major consulting firm. Bo has also held diversity leadership roles at Ernst & Young, Working Mother Media, and National Grid. She served as a Director of Advisory Services at Catalyst, the leading nonprofit focused on the advancement of women in business. As a consultant and thought leader, she has helped clients achieve their diversity and inclusion goals. Past clients include award winners Marriott International, Northern Trust, John Deere, Allstate, Booz & Co., Discover, Aon, Human Rights Campaign, and McKesson.

Bo’s knowledge of global DEI implications is unique among her peers. She has led DEI projects and spoken on the topic in the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and across Asia. She is a trained practitioner of cross-cultural navigation and communications. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, and Business Insider and has spoken on-air on MSNBC, Bloomberg News, and CNN.

She has served on the Boards of Catalyst, AESC, and Korea University.

Sandy Carter, COO, Unstoppable Domains

Sandy has had a distinguished career holding leadership positions as a Chief Operations Officer, Chief Marketing, Chief Sales, Channel Chief, and Chief Product Officer working for two Fortune 100 companies – AWS and IBM. Her background is unique since very few executives have experience working in all these different c-level roles.

She's been a pioneer at the forefront of AI innovation. Working at IBM, she contributed to the development of Watson ecosystem including Cloud , AI and IoT and helped participate in the introduction of the industry's inaugural business model for the AI ecosystem. She played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the ecosystem in the AI, IoT, and Cloud focus.

She is passionate about collaborating with partners and delivering value to customers. This is how she makes a difference. Serving as a top executive at AWS, she collaborated directly with c-level customers and partners. She gained invaluable insights into their Cloud, AI, and overall tech needs and challenges, leading to the development of innovative AI business solutions.

Sandy credits her amazing teams with all their success. They are the people who make everything happen. She may provide the direction, strategy, coaching, and overview, but it is the team members who produce the innovations, make the breakthroughs, and develop emerging technology like AI into new products with industry-changing reach.

Sandy held Board of Director positions and currently sits on the Altair Board. She is truly humbled by the numerous awards recognizing her work achievements. Some of the prestigious awards include: The AI Executive Champion of the Year from WLDA, Business Transformational Leader of the Year, CNN Top 10 Women in Tech, Top 10 Leader in Responsible AI, and Most Influential Sales Leader.
